READ-O-RAMA TBR!

Credits to the person who who took this photo (tumblr)
Hey readers!
I'm writing to announce that I'm participating in a read-a-thon! Yes, I know I don't really do well in these kind of marathons because I always end up either in a reading slump or I change my to be read pile completely. You know what? I'm not even going to start finding some excuses. I'm just going to admit that I suck at this. lol. But I'm still doing it anyway because it's fun!

So, this weekend, I'm going to read mostly books from my YA shelves and not books that I have to read for school. But well, if I really have to read a book for school, then I'll read that one. I still have to read the other books too though.

One more thing, I received a few review copies and if you sent me a copy and you're wondering when will I be posting my review on your book. Don't worry, I'll post them on the date you asked me to post it and if you didn't tell me an exact date, I'll post all my reviews before the end of this year.

So, with all that being said, let's move on the TBR list for this read-a-thon.

Challenge(s):

  1. Read a book released in 2015: Crystal Kingdom by Amanda Hocking or The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall
  2. Read a book that has been n your shelf for over a year: World After by Susan EE (Seriously, I need to finish this book. It's getting a little ridiculous)
  3. Read a book with 200 pages or else: Disney's Hercules A Classic Storybook Collection (1997 edition) *I need to read a children's book for my 2015 reading challenge so this is the one! :P*
  4. Read 3 books: Well... If I finish reading these three then I'm good (:

Voila, my tbr for the read-o-rama!
This is hosted by Miranda, Katie, Elizabeth and Chloe. Follow their twitter account @readorama and join :D

Bout Of Books 14.0 TBR

I want to read as many books as possible in this readathon because the week after, I'm starting college. I don't know how busy I will be, but I don't think I can read a lot of books from my tbr pile.

This readathon starts on Monday, August 17th to Monday, August 24th. Click here to get more informations about this reading marathon.

I gave myself a goal for this readathon and those are:

  1. Start & Finish a series
  2. Listen to an audiobook
  3. Finish a book you've already started
  4. Read an ebook
  5. Read a book from a genre you aren't familiar with

I'm planning on reading 7 books and they are:

  1. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier
  2. Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier
  3. Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier
  4. Easy Love by Kristen Proby (audiobook)
  5. City Of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
  6. Divine Vices by Melissa Parkin
  7. Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki

August TBR!

Hello readers!

The books in the picture are going in my tbr list for this month.

I borrowed all of these books at the library and I have to bring them back by September 1st, so I want to read them by then.

It's going to be quite a challenge since I'm in a reading slump! ughhhhhh -.-

I also want to add City Of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare in my tbr because I borrowed it from a friend. I already have it for over a week and I don't want my friend to wait too long for her book to return.

Usually when I'm in a reading slump, I read a contemporary book by Abbi Glines, but I already read all of them. Each story is still fresh in my mind, so I don't feel like rereading them yet. I don't really know what to do. Do you have any tips for me? Please, let me know if you do.

Much love,

Rochelle

This week's TBR/ UPDATE!

Hey, readers!

Ahh' It's nice to blog again. It's been a while. I've been really busy this week, I had to schedule some post so I didn't forget them. I was also in a terrible reading slump. Right now, I can read a little, but I don't know if I can read for many hours straight like usually. I hope I can get back to my normal reading mode in time for the BOOKTUBE-A-THON!

My tbr for that readathon is on my 'READATHON' page or if you want to watch my video, you can watch it here. I will post my review on 'Dangerous Intentions' by Dori Lavelle soon. It's actually on Goodreads already, but I'll post it here on my blog as well.

This week, I will try my best to post some reading updates, if not I'll be filming them. I'm also going to film a TOP 5 favorite book covers so stay tuned on my booktube channel.

This week's TBR!

Hello, readers!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I just want to give you guys an update on the two read-a-thons I'm participating in for this last week of July.

Damn. Time flies, next thing you know it's Christmas!

-

For the #monthlongreadathon that started on July 22nd and will end this Wednesday, I managed to finish two books in my tbr pile (I Want It That Way by Ann Aguirre and Dangerous Intentions by Dori Lavelle). I will write a review on Dori Lavelle's book and post it soon, so stay tuned.

For the #TBRTAKEDOWN 2.0, I managed to finish Dangerous Intentions by Dori Lavelle and read Think & Grow by Napoleon Hill before the readathon even started, so I don't think that counts.

I am going to change my tbr for that read-a-thon a little. I won't be reading The Scarlet Letter because I still need to finish Pride & Prejudice, so I'll count that as a book that is out of my comfort zone. Sooooooo yeaaaaaah.

This week, I need to finish three books and they are The Kiss Of Deception by Mary E. Pearson, Divine Vices by Melissa Parkin and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen.

TBR Take Down 2.0

FROM JULY 25TH-31ST
by Shannon over at LeaningLights on booktube

1. Read a first book in a series: The Kiss Of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

I own this book for a really long time now and it's the book chosen for this month in the We The Bibliophiles book club on Goodreads. I have to read it before the end of this month and this is the perfect time to finally read it.

2. Read a sequel book in a series: Dangerous Intentions by Dori Lavelle

This was given to me from the author in exchange for an honest review. I really can't wait to read this because I enjoyed the first book so much!

3. Read a book that is out of your comfort zone: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

This was recommended by a friend and I figured I might learn more about business and think more about important stuff. This should be interesting.

4. Read a book that has been  on your shelf for over year: The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

I don't remember when I bought this book exactly, but it was a long time ago. I enjoyed the short version of this book and ever since then I've always wanted to read the whole version of it.

5. Read a most recently hauled book: Divine Vices by Melissa Parkin

I didn't buy this book. I actually haven't bought a book in a long time (currently in a book buying ban). This was given to me from the author in exchange for an honest review. The plot intrigues me and I'm looking forward on reading it.

WRAP-UP & TBR

Hello readers,
I'm sorry for the late post. I haven't finished a lot of books this past week. After I finished reading City Of Glass by Cassandra Clare, I've been in a book hangover. I wasn't capable of reading anything else. So, I started reading City Of Fallen Angels, the fourth book of the Mortal Instruments series and for some reason I kept putting it down at first. Now, I can read it, but I'm taking my time because I don't have the next book with me yet.

I'm also in a book buying ban since July 4th, 2015 and I don't want to purchase any books for at least the end of the month. I'm just borrowing the Cassandra Clare books from a friend and she is currently on the other side of the world and won't be back until August.

I read a little bit of Grey by E.L James, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and tried to start reading The Kiss Of Deception by Mary E. Pearson, but like I said I was in a book hangover.

Oh, and I totally forgot, I also read the Panty Whisperer by Sloane Howell, a novella that's actually free on Amazon. It was a quick read that's why I manage to finish it in less than an hour. Here's my review on it | GOODREADS | if you want to check it out.

Thank you for passing by

xo

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. This week will be a very busy one since I will be participating in two readathons and I will also be reading two books from two book clubs that I'm part of. So without further a due, let me show you all the books that I'm planning on reading this upcoming week.

I'm participating in the #monthlongreadathon hosted by @alibraryforaries as you might already know. Week 1 ends on Tuesday since week 2 will be starting on Wednesday. I also decided to participate in the #bookskayjulyreadathon hosted by @bookskay which starts tomorrow July 6th to July 12th. There are seven challenges in this read-a-thon and I will cheat a little, but I'm going to try my best to read seven books this week.

1. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
This book is actually part of my tbr in the #monthlongreadathon week 1 that I haven't finished yet. I will finish it before Wednesday HOPEFULLY!

#Monthlongreadathon week 1 challenge: Movie Adaptation ✓
#bookskayjulyreadathon challenge: Read a book that is being made into a movie/tv show ✓

2. The Conspiracy Of Us by Maggie Hall
This is also part of my tbr in the first week of the #monthlongreadathon that I will probably won't be able to finish before the end of week 1. So, I've decided to read it for the #bookskayjulyreadathon challenge "Read a book that has been given/gifted to you". This book was actually gifted to me on my 18th birthday.

#bookskayjulyreadathon: Read a book that has been given/gifted to you ✓

3. World After (Penryn & The End Of Days #2) by Susan Ee
I'm still currently reading this and I put  it down a couple of times because of my busy schedule. I really want to finish it asap so I can purchase the third book. So yeahhhhhh...

#bookskayjulyreadathon: Read a book that has been spoilt for you & a book with a "W" in the title✓

4. Broken Hearts, Fences And Other Things To Mend by Katie Finn
This is the book of the month of July in the Bookish Beauties Book Club on Goodreads. I can't wait to get into it.

#monthlongreadathon: Intriguing ✓

5. Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austen
This is the book of the month in my book club. I don't think I'll be able to finish it this week, but one thing is for sure, this book will be read by the end of the month.

#monthlongreadathon: Classic ✓
#bookskayjulyreadathon: Read a book that has been on your tbr since last year ✓

6. Crossing The Lines (Heat Wave #3) by Alannah Lynne
This is an ebook from Netgalley that I have to review.

#monthlongreadathon: Eye Candy✓
#bookskayjulyreadathon: Read a book you know nothing about✓

7. Throne Of Glass (Book 1) by Sarah J. Maas
I don't know if I'll be able to start this book with all the books I have to read this week, but we'll seeeeee.

#bookskayjulyreadathon: Read a book recommended by your favorite booktuber✓

This week's TBR!

I hope to finish reading PULSE by Gail McHugh, book two of the Collide series. I also wwant to finish reading the Edge Of Never by J.A. Redmerski, The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall and Grey by E.L James.

I might not finish all of them because I'll be busy this week. Although, I'll read as much as I can.

Rainbow Read-A-Thon TBR!

This is going to be a challenge because I'm going to be a little busy this week, but at the same time I really want to read these books!

The first book that I'm planning on reading and that I chose for the color Orange and Yellow is "How I Live Now" by Meg Rossof.

I first heard about this on one of Ariel Bisset's videos and if I remember correctly, she liked or loved it. I can't wait to read this short book and I really have high expectations on this one I hope it won't disappoint  me.

I chose this book for the color BLUE!
The Conspiracy Of Us by Maggie Hall was given to me by my lovely friend Tamara on my 18th birthday last month.  I never heard about this book before, but I looked it up on GR and it doesn't really have a high rating. However, I want to read it and judge after.

I haven't read any of Susane Colasanti's works, so when I found this at the library I didn't hesitate to pick it up. It looks like a very interesting love triangle and I can't wait to finally read it. This book is for the color Purple.

Blood Red Road by Moira Young for the color RED.
This was recommended to me by my only friend who reads the same books as I do. I started reading it last year, but I just couldn't get into it because of the writing style. Although, a lot of readers really liked it and I'm willing to give it another chance,

I picked this up along with Something Like Fate at the library because like I said, I never read anything by Susane Colasanti and I think it's about time to finally start reading her books. I chose this book for the color Green.

That's about it for my Rainbow Read-A-Thon TBR. I will keep you guys
updated on my daily reading.

TBR for this week

I'll read and finish reading Innocent Assassins by Pema Donyo and Florence by Ciye Cho because if I don't finish it this week, I won't have time after. I'm actually pretty excited to read these two review copies because after reading their summary, I'm really intrigued.

Also, I'm going to post all the book reviews(Prodigy, Frostfire, Losing It...) I have to post this week...hopefully xD

Well except the two books I just mentioned, my review on them will be posted later this month.

TBR for this week

Happy Sunday everyone!

So, this week I'm planning to finish To Breathe Again by Dori Lavelle. I'm also planning to read this French book I borrowed from the library. I'll start reading Innocent Assassins by Pema Donyo.

That's it...

Well... I actually really want to finish Prodigy, I don't know why I still haven't finish reading it yet. The book is not bad, it's just that... I don't know, I'm in the mood for Contemporary lately. Hopefully this week I'll be in the mood for Dystopia.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

This week I'm planning to read Innocent Assasins by Pema Donyo, Entangle by Veronica Larsen; finish Prodigy by Marie Lu and read a book recommended by my friend.

I don't have school Friday and I'm hoping to read at least a book before I watch FSOG!

I can't wait!

Sunday:Books I'm hoping to read this week

Since I've read and reviewed four out of seven books that I received for review already(But scheduled it for a certain date), I'll have to concentrate on the book you're seeing on your left. As much as I dislike the story, I need to read and finish it this week because I have an exam on it in the first week of February. It's really stressing me out because this book is hard to read considering the fact that I didn't grow up in Quebec and I'm not necessarily an expert in French.

Have a nice week everyone,

xx

Sunday: Books I'm hoping to read this week!

Hello everyone,
I know I failed my TBR last week but I'm going to try my best to read all the books in this TBR list this week.

-Le Survenant by Germaine Guevremont (Book for French class)
-The Man Test by Amanda Aksel(Book for review)

I'm going to ditch the books I bought for myself for awhile and read the books I've received for review. I have a lot to read, not that I'm complaining. I love to read and review books, I just wish I didn't have a ton of exams at the same time! But it's life. Gotta deal with it.

Have a nice week guys!

xx
Rochelle :)

Sunday: Books I'm hoping to read this week

Legend by Marie Lu:
I've been wanting to read this for such a longtime now but never got the chance. I bought it a few days ago along with the two other books of this Legend Trilogy. I heard so many good things about it so I can't wait to finally read book.

Prodigy(Book 2) & Champion(Book 3) by Marie Lu

World After (Sequel to AngelFall) by Susan EE:
I read Angelfall last year and I didn't read this after reading the first book because I had other books that I really wanted to read. I was also in a "Contemporary romance" mode so I didn't want to force myself to read a paranormal story when I wasn't in the mood.

Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas:
Everyone who have read this book loved it. I actually wanted to read it a couple of times but I always keep changing my mind at the last minute whenever I'm at a bookstore. I'm not sure I'm going to like it, I don't really know but I have to give it a chance.

Have a nice week everyone :)

Sunday: TBR this week!

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
I'm currently reading these two. I'm almost done with Ugly Love. I really love the story and I really recommend it. I'll talk about it more in my upcoming review on Thursday.

La Mort Du Roi Tsongor by Laurent Gaude
As of La Mort Du Roi Tsongor, it's a novel that we're currently reading in my French class.  Hopefully I could finish reading it this week.

Sunday: TBR this week!

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman  (French version)
I've been reading this book for quite a while now. I haven't finish reading it yet because I don't read a lot of mid-grade books. Hopefully I'll get to finish it by the end of this week.

Defining moments by Dori Lavelle (Moments #4)
I'm loving this ebook so far! I could've finished it already but I'm taking my time because I don't want this series to end yet. But I'm almost done and I'll post my review on Thursday...hopefully x)
