"Because, together, we're bulletproof"
This was a surprising and heartwarming read. I didn't think I'd love it more than the other books by Veronica Larsen because I really loved the last one (Entice). I didn't know much aboutEnamor, I didn't even read the summary, I just knew that it's by Veronica Larsen and that I really enjoyed her previous works. Again, out of all the three this is by far my favourite.
Julia Castillo had a pretty bad time with her ex and she wants to forget, move on and escape her past. She moves into this house and met her roommate Ava, but what Ava forgot to tell her is that their other roommate (Giles), Ava's cousin, is a guy whom Julia already met before and didn't really like.
The beginning was really funny. There was the two main characters playing pranks on each other. Obviously, they'll end up falling in love with one another, but even though it was kind of predictable, they were still a lot of small details that surprised me.
One of the things I really love about this book is that Giles is very honest about what he wants from Julia. He wants to get into her pants and he's not afraid to admit it (which was really funny by the way). Julia is not the weak character I thought she was. I liked how she acts around Giles and how both of them treat each other. I like how the author doesn't focus a lot about sex, but focuses more on the characters' problems and on how their (Giles and Julia) relationship develops.
There's a lot to say, a lot of things I really enjoyed and loved, but I don't want you to know all of the details. I think you'll really enjoy it more if you don't know a lot of things about it.
Veronica Larsen's books keep getting better and better. I really enjoyed Entangled, then I read Entice and that was even better than the first book she wrote and now this. Enamor, just wow.
I highly recommend it. Enamor is better than a lot of best-selling romance books I've read. It's always nice to explore underrated books. Believe me, you won't regret giving this book a try.
